Tri-series: Babar’s brilliant batting, Pakistan beat Kiwis with ease

Pakistan defeated New Zealand in the second match of the tri-series.

Pakistan easily achieved the target of 148 runs on the second ball of the 19th over.

In the match played in Christchurch, New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first, setting Pakistan a target of 148 runs to win in the allotted 20 overs.

Finn Allen and Dion Conway opened the innings for New Zealand.

Pakistan’s first breakthrough was given by Muhammad Wasim Jr. in the third over in the form of Finn Allen who could only score 13 runs.

New Zealand’s Dion Conway 36, skipper Kane Williamson 31, Glenn Phillips 18, Mark Chapman 32, James Neesham 5, Michael Bracewell 0, Ash Sodhi 2 runs out.

Apart from this, Tim Southee and Trent Boult remained not out by scoring 1 and 2 runs respectively.
