Important players in the Indian squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 have suffered injuries.

India secured their fourth consecutive win in the event by defeating Bangladesh yesterday, but they also suffered a loss in the process. India’s vice-captain and all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the match against New Zealand due to injury.

Hardik Pandya was injured in the match against Bangladesh yesterday. In the ninth over of the match, Pandya tried to stop the ball with his straight leg to stop the shot of Bangladeshi opener Liton Das, but in the meantime, he lay on the ground due to pain, after which he was taken out of the stadium.

Seeing the pain condition of Pandya, the physio had to be called to the stadium after which the cricketer walked out of the ground. Later, Virat Kohli bowled the last three balls of Hardik’s over.

However, now it is being told that Hardik Pandya needs a week to recover from the ankle problem and hence he will not play the match against New Zealand.

Indian media says that Hardik Pandya has been scanned and a formal decision will be taken after the review report.

Remember that the match between India and New Zealand is scheduled for Sunday.

Hardik Pandya will not go to Dharamsala with the Indian team on October 20, but he will join India for the match against England in Lucknow.

In this regard, the Indian media says that Surya Kumar Yadav will be included in the playing XI against New Zealand, while Mohammad Shami is likely to be replaced by Shirdal Thakur in Dharamsala.

It should be noted that in the seventeenth match of the ICC ODI World Cup held at the Pune Cricket Stadium in India, India won the fourth consecutive victory in the event by defeating Bangladesh by 7 wickets thanks to Virat Kohli’s brilliant century.
