Babar Azam’s Captaincy Is Not Enough, Former Players Burst Out.

Former players of the national cricket team have criticized Babar Azam’s leadership after the historic defeat against Afghanistan.

After Pakistan’s worst defeat by Afghanistan in the ICC World Cup held in India, the former players of the national team put the responsibility of the defeat on the captain Babar Azam and said that there is no doubt that Babar Azam is a good player but the captaincy is his. It’s not enough.

On this occasion, former captain Shoaib Malik said that Babar Azam enters the field only according to the plan, he does not have the ability to take a decision according to the situation, the loss of which has to be borne by the Pakistani team.

National team wicketkeeper-batsman and former captain Moin Khan said that there have been 4 ICC events between 2019 and 2023 but it seems that Babar Azam has not learned anything so far.

It should be noted that Afghanistan defeated Pakistan for the first time in history in the match held in the city of Chennai, India yesterday and thus they achieved their second victory in the current World Cup. Earlier they had defeated the defending champions England.

After winning the toss and batting first against Afghanistan, Pakistan scored 282 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs and Afghanistan easily achieved the target in 49 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.

It should be noted that after winning the first two matches, Pakistan has lost three matches in a row and thus it is in the fifth position on the points table, while Afghanistan has reached the sixth position after defeating Pakistan.
